My prediction is $220,000 per coin for 2021, and longer-term, really, I say there is no top to Bitcoin because there's no bottom for fiat money.

He who has the Bitcoin makes the laws, and the countries that are really active in this the most are going to be extremely happy that they did. Those countries that lag behind are going to be part of that new second world. We're reordering what constitutes a first-world nation. The first-world nation will be heavily into Bitcoin, and then the second and third world would be lagging in Bitcoin.

I think Bitcoin would cut the 160,000 terawatt hours of energy used right now on Earth by half. Because, under a Bitcoin standard, you get rid of central banks, you get rid of fiat money, you get rid of the Pentagon, right? So, these are all huge users of energy. Under a Bitcoin standard, energy use on planet Earth gets cut in half.

I don't really look at the price; I look more at the hash rate. And the hash rate over the past 10 years has been in a very predictable, solid bull market, and it just reached new all-time highs recently. And that's really the nexus of the Bitcoin protocol. Price is... the least important data point on Bitcoin. The important data points are hash rate, halvings, difficulty adjustment, the emission schedule every 10 minutes—those are important data points.

People who are narcissistic ego maniacs have a big difficulty getting into Bitcoin. I think that's the Nassim Taleb story. He's rightfully proud of the work he's done with his books, ect., but he developed this narcissism that... prevents him from seeing the humanity of Bitcoin. And so, he's essentially committed professional suicide with his antics over the past few months.

I'll tell you the direction of Bitcoin: It's up. If you hold it for three or maybe three and a half years, anyone who's held it for three and a half years or four years is in the black. So, if you've got a time frame of—which is not a long time frame—three and a half or four years, you're going to be in the black.

You have political breakdown, you have societal breakdown, you have economic breakdown. People should be buying Bitcoin like their life depended on it—because it does.

The dollar is backed by men with guns. So, the Pentagon, these are the guns that back up the US dollar that eat up something like $1.5 trillion of our taxes. Approximately 50% of all tax dollars goes to the people with the guns to back the dollar. So, what happens is, at some point, with inflation kicking in, it's going to be impossible to print enough money to keep the Pentagon up and running.

The adoption is definitely tied to understanding Bitcoin, and we know that the more you learn about Bitcoin, the more of a maximalist you become. Nobody who learns about Bitcoin fails to become a maximalist. Only people who really don't take the time to learn about it are left in the camp of a no-coiner or a skeptic.

We've got a global community of a hundred million now using Bitcoin. The first point is that they use it as money, so they believe it's money. It is money because people use it as money ... In other words, money is whatever people think it is. Whatever the community decides it is, that's money.

Bitcoin is something that's pro-humanity. Paul Tudor Jones even said that gold is a bet on disaster; Bitcoin is a bet on humanity—that it's going to get better.

Here's my bear case: It's that humans will become extinct before they realize the benefits of Bitcoin.

My 2021 prediction is still the same as it was on the last day of last year, and that's $220K for Bitcoin in 2021. So, I'm still holding to that prediction.

What I always talk about first whenever I talk to people is the quality of Bitcoin where it's unconfiscatable. This is really unique in history. We've never had, as a species, the opportunity to have wealth that's absolutely unconfiscatable—and that resonates. People like that idea.

All fiat money for the past 300 years has gone to zero or lost 99% of its purchasing power. So, fiat money has never worked.

Bitcoin is a risk-off investment. It's not risk-on; it's risk-off. This is where you put your safe haven cash.

Humans could become extinct and Bitcoin is still going to keep going. So, it's up to us to embrace Bitcoin before we kill ourselves as a species.

The US dollar is the world's reserve currency, and Bitcoin is competing to become the world's reserve currency. So, the king, right now, is the US dollar, and Bitcoin's attacking the king.

I think that one of the fallouts from the blow-up in the global bond market is going to be the insurance industry gets blown up as well. So, there won't be an insurance industry when these bonds blow up finally.

Governments aren't going to ban Bitcoin; the smart governments are going to start hoarding and and mining Bitcoin.
