I think the larger problem is how entrenched we've become in those ideas, such that when we're presented with a counterfactual narrative, no matter how compelling that narrative, it's irrelevant. It doesn't matter. It's not going to move the needle in terms of how that person is seeing the world. Whether it's the Trump voter who can't be talked out of voting for Trump or the super liberal person who sees the world in a specific way, the idea that you're going to change these people's minds... We all know how difficult that
is.
