The interiority of a human being is a very dangerous place

The search for happiness and pleasure is the most fruitless search of a human life. It is the single most critical reason why a human being lives in suffering.

Do NOT allow yourself to succumb to the status quo of this filth that we call society

Nobody should put anyone on a pedestal. Every human being is a completely screwed up human being, okay? Every human being from top to bottom is totally messed up.

I think what needs to be understood is that everyone is mentally deranged—and that isn't a derogatory statement; I genuinely mean that. Everyone has psychopathology; people have it to just different degrees. There's no such thing as normal. Normal is just an agreed upon normal according to the greatest prevalence in society.

If every day I brought you a new sports car, but every other day I took it away…you would NOT look at that as a positive experience. That is EXACTLY how life is.

No matter what you do in this world, whether you raise children, or start a $20 billion company, or you become a famous professional athlete, at the end of the day, every human being ends up in the same place. They end up alone in their house, with the lights dimmed, wondering when the satisfaction is going to arrive... Fundamentally everyone reverts to the foundation of, ‘What comes next?’ Because none of these things last. You don’t have to believe a single word of what I say. You just have to open your eyes and look.

There isn't a single group in the world that has wisdom. Even if you go to a Buddhist monastery, that group doesn't have wisdom ... Groups are a dumbing down phenomenon. Groups are a regression to the mean phenomenon.

Everything is a lie. Nobody realizes the degree to which society has completely imprisoned and destroyed the fabric of the human organism.

In general, leaders tend to be too interested in what others think of him ... As long as he is influenced by what others say, as long as he has insecurity about how he may be viewed, then he will not be anywhere near his ultimate with regards to performance.

It’s genuinely about seeing the emptiness of all things and that nothing has any significance … The ultimate truth is that there is nothing. There is no greater truth than that.

A boss is a devil .... It's better to be homeless than to ever have to ask someone 'Can I do this? Can I do that?' That's not a job; that's slavery.

It is only the one who is full before he arrives, that asks nothing from the game. When a human being has no need, he is free. And when he is free, he becomes untouchable. He becomes a legend.

The world is false. Society is false. Everything around you is false. The world is, in fact, evil. And it's evil because it is based purely upon untruth. So, all of society is false. Everything you see around you, all the books that are published are false; all the newspaper clippings are false; all the media's false; all the nonsense that the spiritualists talk and the motivational speakers and the self-help and self-development and the gurus, it's all false. And it's all false because it is all based upon getting you to believe something.

I don’t know if there are any so called real relationships outside of the relationship you have with yourself

You’re not going to stop the mind from barking, and if you try to, you’ll be basically trying to bale water out of a sinking boat with a teacup for the rest of your life. Because the only reason that you’re trying to stop the mind from barking is the reason why it’s barking in the first place.

That's one of the greatest milestones of freedom that there is—to be completely independent of the opinions of others and, even more critically, the next level is to be completely independent of the opinions of yourself.

To arrive at not caring what ANYONE thinks about you, not even your own family or your own kids, not your spouse, not your boss, not your audience, not your fans, not the media….to not reactively but to genuinely arrive at that place inside yourself because you no longer have to put on a face…that’s an enormous milestone in a human being’s life

I think it's much more effective and applicable and practical to talk about what it is that prevents performance much more than what it is that enhances it.

The more I go along in life the more it becomes painfully clear that the things that I want to look into are not really the things that others want to look into.

If you look at the foundation of most relationships, there is nothing but cracks in that foundation. Every relationship is only a heartbeat away from disaster.

I don't think anybody should compare against anybody. I think that competition is the road to mediocrity.

Competition is like fighting over a half-eaten sandwich. Competition is, fundamentally, for non-masters.

When you have an airtight vision, you cannot allow your mind to be exposed to views that are contrary and inferior to your vision. Those things will sabotage you.

Do you know the number of individuals who in this world who were born to be great? But they were almost killed in the womb by the society. And they will never even know that that they were supposed to be great. This is the power of environment and culture. The greatest individual will shun the world. He will live as an isolationist. He will be a hermit. because he cannot afford association.

So, what is it that makes someone truly exceptional? And I think it really comes down to understanding—an understanding of how the game is played, an understanding of what things are standing in my way that have prevented me from getting to where I want to go.

Very close to ZERO relationships nourish anyone’s life. The thing that people get from relationships is a respite from loneliness.

A person who is conscious of his self... is a person who will always have insecurities about that self. So, a person is at his best when he isn’t aware of himself.

Life, absolutely, is suffering. But it isn’t just because the events of life are suffering; life is suffering because of the illusions that we fall into as human beings—the illusion of mind, the illusion that we are ourselves, the illusion of attachment. All of these things rely on being completely attached to a notion of a self—that is suffering.

Look at the overall state of affairs. Forget the coronavirus. There is nothing but coronavirus.

When someone has even a little bit of authenticity or sincerity, or a little bit of true desire to know the truth about one’s domain, this completely allows them to surpass the status quo – that person becomes a superstar

I think mentors are used cars

Everyone suffers for their entire life. That's mental illness. It isn't mental illness that you shouldn't suffer. The reason it's mental illness is because the mind itself is an illness. The human being lives in a constant state of anxiety of varying degrees of so-called depression.

Everyone is obsessed with something, and the only thing that they will get in their life consistently is the thing that they're obsessed with.

Coronavirus is just another detail of the degradation of society ... How that degradation reveals itself is just details, and this is just a significant detail.

I think the bar in this world is actually very low. The number of individuals in any domain who are actually searching for the truth is actually so minuscule that it is almost practically non-existent.

Everything in this society is a scam. From the government, to the FDA, to sports coaching, to business coaching—it’s all a farce! There’s nothing real here. It’s just swirling muddy water.

Time is well spent when it's examining one's own life without the compulsion of fixing anything, following anything, having ideals to live up to, becoming more improved.

When a human being is exposed to the truth, something fundamental within him begins to change. And I don’t know how that alchemy happens, but it is an elixir that is too potent not to have an effect.

I think a team is really a false construct. There's no team. From the outside, it looks like a team. But each person within that team is a perfect individual who is the best at his particular thing.

If something is not real, if it isn't genuine, if it isn't something that is pursued for outright transformation, then it's cosmetic, and human beings seek cosmetic things. Meditation is makeup; it's eyeshadow.

Social distancing is all I’ve been talking about for the last 7 years … Socialization is a plague to begin with.

Looking into why one says/thinks/feels the way that he does... I think breaking apart that foundation and tearing off all the layers is not something that’s healthy or good for you or recommended, but in doing so, that actually is the way to arrive at a semblance of solidity in one’s life in which one does not live like a leaf in the wind

People don’t want to be helped … Nobody actually wants to be told what to do, and quite frankly, even if they did, and you tell them what to do, they’d only appreciate that they were told, and then 5 minutes later, they’d go back to who they are.

True originality only results when given the proper space and soil to grow, when you are not bound by someone else’s experiences and input. Being naive and innocent is a massive advantage.

Almost everyone wastes their life because they do not look deeply into the ways in which they are conditioned.

Every single day I am on a journey to completely divorce myself from any inputs from my mind.

I think where a lot of it starts is the movement away from prescriptive ways of thinking. I think that is the greatest tectonic shift which occurs in a human being... the movement away from the how.

The fundamental truth is so revolutionary that it so completely tears the most foundational elements of all that a human [has been] taught. He’ll no longer know which way is up. He would be afraid to even say his own name in fear that even that may be a lie. The human has drifted so deep into lies and untruths that he shouldn’t say a word.

The moment you compromise on your vision as a leader, you're finished. If you give a human being an inch, he'll take a mile.

Human beings are media chasers. They're alarmists ... They enjoy the drama. They enjoy 24/7 news. They enjoy it. They actually enjoy it.

Society caters to the lowest common denominator, and that is why it creates greater numbers of lowest common denominators, when it frankly should be doing the opposite

If the desire overwhelms a person to go for the truth, then they'll automatically move in that direction. If they do it because they should, it's a waste of time.

Competition breeds mediocrity.
